This time, I want to tell you about my city is Medan city.
Have you ever been to Medan City before?
Medan City is the capital of the province of North Sumatra, Indonesia. This city is the third largest city in Indonesia after Jakarta and Surabaya, as well as the largest city outside Java. [4] [5] [6] Medan City is the gateway to the western part of Indonesia in the presence of Belawan Port city and Kuala Namu International Airport, which is the second largest airport in Indonesia. Access from the city center to the port and airport is completed by toll roads and trains. Medan is the first city in Indonesia that integrates airports with trains. It is bordered by the Malacca Strait, making Medan a very important trading, industrial and business city in Indonesia.
Medan originated from a village established by teacher Patimpus at the confluence of the Deli River and Babura River. Anniversary of Medan City was set on July 1, 1590. Later in 1632, Medan was made the center of government of the Deli Sultanate, a Malay kingdom. Europeans began to find Medan since the arrival of John Anderson from England in 1823. Civilization in Medan continued to grow until the Dutch East Indies Government gave the city status and made it the administrative center of the East Sumatra Residency. Entering the 20th century, Medan became an important city outside Java, especially after the colonial government opened large-scale plantation companies.

- Maha Vihara Adhi Maitreya
Traveling to Medan will not be complete if you do not visit Maha Vihara Adhi Maitreya, especially for those who like unique buildings.
Maha Vihara Adhi Maitreya is one of the largest Vihara in Indonesia.
The atmosphere in this monastery is very calm, when going around it you will find 3 holy statues, namely the statue of Dwi Kwan in, the holy statue of the Buddha and a statue of Judge Bao.
In the front area there is a location to pray, on the left side there is a park resembling Beijing China with a pond filled with koi fish and a statue of Dwi Kwan In.
On the right side there is a game area with several tones of Chinese Great Wall images, then on the back there are beautiful paintings.
- The Velangkani Medan
Medan is known as a multi-ethnic city, where there are many cultures and ethnicities that live in this region.
One of the ethnic groups living in harmony there is ethnic Indian.

The lake is located on the outskirts of the city of Medan, at the Serdang deli, a beautiful tourist spot with blue lake water and cool weather. we are banned from swimming because the lake is very deep.
- Land of Medan Windmills.
Merci Windmill is the name of the largest windmill in Medan city. With a height of up to 22 meters, you seem to be in the Netherlands which is synonymous with the Land of Windmills. - Maimun Palace.
Maimun Palace is a historic building with unique and charming architecture in Medan city. By combining Malay, Islamic, Middle Eastern, Spanish, Italian and Indian architectural styles, Maimun Palace became a symbol of the glory of the Deli Kingdom in North Sumatra. In fact it is said that this palace bears the title as one of the most beautiful palaces in Indonesia. This tourism object has three main parts with a large area. Here, you can circle the beauty of amazing architecture.
